While you're living your best life on the summit, others are putting their tired bodies to bed. Every night, dozens of employees are hard at work on Titlis. They are up there navigating steep slopes in the beam of the snow groomers, setting off controlled avalanches into the valley below, operating snow blowers, improving the pistes and making sure they are correctly marked out. Perfect teamwork between man and machine. With the goal of providing you with an unforgettable experience as soon as the new day breaks.
For the first time, a video offers insight into these heroic night-time activities. The recordings show how tirelessly our Titlis employees work. These are highly qualified experts who have a wealth of experience and the utmost respect for the mountain. Your safety is their priority.
The film also shows how the short summer break is used to prepare thoroughly for the new season. The funiculars, cable cars, masts and cables are all serviced and every last detail is checked and maintained. Snow and ice on the glacier is covered with 90,000 m2 of fleece to protect particularly exposed areas from the increasingly intense glare of the summer sun. An unimaginable feat. But one that is necessary in order for the next generation to experience Titlis as the iconic Central Swiss mountain that we know and love today.
And then you sense the click of your binding. You grip hold of your poles, take a deep breath and let yourself go. The next minute you're gliding across the piste ... you're floating. It's as if you're flying. You'll never forget this moment. This moment on Titlis.
