MAMMUT Safety Roadshow - Engelberg

Only those who practice regularly are safe off-piste.

State-certified mountain guides and Mammut safety experts work together to teach important basic knowledge for beginners and experienced skiers – live in the field. The aim is to refresh avalanche knowledge and practice using safety equipment.

If you wish, you can test the basic equipment, including a shovel, probe, Barryvox avalanche transceiver, and avalanche airbag backpack—we have enough equipment for all participants. After the test equipment has been handed out, we take the lift up to the terrain. On the slope, we will practice the correct use of emergency equipment, discuss search scenarios and the organization of first responders on site, as well as companion rescue. Correct probing, efficient shoveling techniques, and general avalanche awareness topics are also on the agenda, as are airbag test deployments and the correct handling of avalanche airbag backpacks.
