Who could know the most beautiful spots at Titlis better than our team members? They are on the mountain every day and share their favorite places with us – whether it’s for the perfect photo, the best view, or a quick break. In this blog post, we introduce four of their personal highlights.

Every time I go up to Titlis, the view looks different – and it’s always breathtakingly beautiful.

This is how to get your perfect Titlis photo

Your adventure on Titlis begins in Engelberg. From here, you first take the 8-person gondola Titlis Xpress up to the Stand station. During the ride, you can already enjoy the stunning mountain scenery around Engelberg.

At Stand station, transfer to the legendary rotating cable car Titlis Rotair, which takes you in just a few minutes up to the Titlis summit station at 3,020 meters above sea level. The entire journey from Engelberg takes about 30 minutes.

Once at the top, a staircase or elevator will take you directly to the sun terrace — a perfect spot for your first photos, including popular photo points like "3020 Titlis." From there, it’s only about a 5-minute walk in the snow to the viewing platform, where the large "I ❤️ Titlis" sign awaits you, along with breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps.

Afterward, don’t miss the Titlis Cliff Walk — Europe’s highest suspension bridge. Just a few steps to the right and you’ll be standing on the thrilling, yet completely safe bridge, with an unforgettable mountain panorama in front of you.

Favorite spots: Visiting friends? She loves showing them her favorite places — hiking in the Jochpass area, where the marmots are a special highlight for Nikola, or on the Four-Lakes Hike up to Melchsee-Frutt.

Jochpass – the perfect starting point for stunning views and multi-day hikes

Jochpass – 2,207 meters above sea level – is a popular stop on many hikes and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

How to reach Jochpass

Leisurely hike from Trübsee
Take the Titlis Xpress to Trübsee and hike from there up to Jochpass — walking time approx. 2 hours.
Chairlift from Trübsee
For a more relaxed option, take the chairlift directly from Trübsee to Jochpass and enjoy the view without the effort.
Via the Älplerseil
For the adventurous, the ascent via the Älplerseil is worthwhile — a scenic route with spectacular views, walking time approx. 3–4 hours.

Role: From the initial inquiry to execution — she plans and oversees events from A to Z and is personally on-site for our guests on the day of the event.
Favorite spot: The area around Trübsee — especially the small bay. Perfect for a short break after work, a quick dip in the water, or simply a moment to relax and unwind.

Activities around Truebsee

There are plenty of ways to spend the day around Truebsee:

Leisurely lakeside walk: Take a relaxed stroll around the lake and discover ever-changing views of the surrounding mountains.
To the waterfall: A short detour leads you to a nearby waterfall — perfect for a little nature experience.
Treasure hunt for families: On Schmugglis’ Treasure Hunt, various playgrounds around Truebsee feature exciting stations — ideal for children aged 2 to 10.

Wer es etwas sportlicher mag, kann mit der Bahn bis zur Gerschnialp fahren und von dort über den Älplerseil-Wanderweg hoch zum Trübsee steigen. Der Vorteil: So kannst du den See auch am Abend, ausserhalb der regulären Betriebszeiten, in aller Ruhe geniessen.

Für die gemütliche Runde um den See solltest du etwa eine Stunde einplanen – Pausen zum Fotografieren oder Entspannen bereits eingerechnet. Unterwegs laden zudem vier idyllische Feuerstellen zum Verweilen ein: beim Bootshaus, in der Bitzi, bei der Hüethütte und am Spielplatz direkt am See.

Role: With 34 years in the company, he started as the Head of Mountain Safety — today, even in retirement, he continues to support us with construction site tours and logistics work for Project TITLIS.
Favorite spots: In winter, as well as in summer, at the foot of Bitzistock.

«The reason lies in the tranquility of this place, even though it is so close to all the activity. The view over the valley and the surrounding mountains is almost unique in Engelberg. This year, with the removal of the ski lift that had stood still for over 40 years, the Bitzistock has significantly enhanced the landscape. In this way, the Bitzistock stands as a thumbs-up for nature conservation.»

Bitzistock – the striking peak above Truebsee

The distinctive peak at 1,895 meters above sea level towers majestically over the idyllic Truebsee and is a popular destination for nature and mountain enthusiasts.

Even during the ride on the 8-person Titlis Xpress gondola from Engelberg toward Truebsee, a fantastic panorama accompanies you — with Bitzistock right in the middle. The ride to the mid-station at Truebsee takes about 10 minutes. Once at the top, an impressive mountain backdrop unfolds before you.

There are several ways to reach this special peak:

Leisurely by gondola
Take the Titlis Xpress to Truebsee and walk along the lake toward Bitzistock — walking time approx. 1 hour.
Via the Älplerseil
Start in Untertrübsee, take the Älplerseil to Obertrübsee, and hike from there up to Bitzistock — walking time approx. 50 minutes.
For the more athletic
For those seeking a more challenging route, you can hike directly from Engelberg — either via Unter- and Obertrübsee or via the Pfaffenwand. No gondola needed, just your own strength — walking time up to approx. 3 hours.
