TITLIS and the area surrounding Engelberg is home to a network of walking trails covering around 50 kilometres. Take a walk through glistening snow fields and ice-encrusted forests.

Gerschnialp-Untertrübsee hike
The Gerschnialp-Untertrübsee trail begins at Hotel Bänklialp (1,000 metres above sea level). Follow the trail along Bänklialpweg and head up through the magical snow-covered forest to Gerschnialp where you join the road to the cable car station. From here, the trail continues across the valley floor at the foot of Bitzistock to Untertrübsee (1,240 metres above sea level).

Obertrübsee-Hüethütte-Trübsee Station trail
The Obertrübsee-Hüethütte-Trübsee Station walking trail begins at Obertrübsee mountain station (1,707 metres above sea level) or at Untertrübsee (via the Älplerseil cable car). From Obertrübsee, the path climbs steadily upwards to the Hüethütte on the frozen Trübsee lake. You can walk along the left or right side of the lake and on to Trübsee station (1,800 metres above sea level). You can also do this route in reverse.
