All cooling systems on TITLIS are operated exclusively with environmentally friendly, natural refrigerants.
-50% heat demand
Although the usable area increases by 85% with the new building, the heat demand is reduced by 50% compared to today. The large glass facades allow enough solar energy to enter the interior, passively heating a large portion of the space.
-98% emissions
The new building reduces CO₂ emissions by an impressive 98% compared to the current mountain station. While an oil heating system is still in use today, the new building operates entirely without fossil fuels.
Like a flat-growing crystal, the station emerges from the mountain.

The old mountain station from the late 1960s, characterized by limited space, has aged. The new, light-filled TITLIS Peak Station by Herzog & de Meuron, opening in 2029, will offer significantly more space and provide a completely new sense of arrival. Construction will begin in 2025, creating a modern, welcoming atmosphere for guests.
The existing cable car, integrated into the new building, resembles an inclusion, similar to those found in crystals. Parallel to this runs the new single-track cable car, TITLIS Connect.
Spectacular view – 360° panorama over the Alps and Central Switzerland
On the lowest floor, directly beneath the cable car station, is the Panorama Walk – a tour that offers guests a previously obstructed view to the west.
Culinary delight at 3000 meters – something for every taste.
On the top floor of the mountain station, a self-service restaurant and a group restaurant with a total of 600 seats invite guests to enjoy culinary delights while offering a stunning view of the breathtaking mountain landscape.
